Eagan Fire Department Hosts Fire Station Open House Oct. 2

October is National Fire Prevention Month

- The Eagan Fire Department invites residents to its annual Fire Station Open House on Thursday, Oct. 2, from 5–7 p.m. at Fire Station No. 2, 1001 Station Tr.

The open house is a family-friendly opportunity to meet Eagan firefighters, explore fire trucks and equipment, and learn valuable fire safety tips. Kids can enjoy hands-on activities and get a close-up look at the tools firefighters use to protect the community.

Firefighters will also share simple steps to keep your family safe at home, including how to properly install, test, and maintain smoke alarms. Working smoke alarms are one of the most effective ways to prevent tragedy during a fire by giving families the critical time they need to escape.

Event Highlights:

  • Tour Eagan Fire Station No. 2
  • Explore fire trucks, hoses, and gear up close
  • Meet Eagan firefighters and learn about their work
  • Hands-on safety activities for kids
  • Fire safety demonstrations and smoke alarm tips

“Fire safety starts at home, and our open house is a great way for families to learn together while connecting with the people who serve our community every day,” Eagan Fire Chief Hugo Searle said.

The event is free and open to all.
