Our Vision

The City of Eagan is inclusive and equitably serves our racially diverse community so everyone can thrive.

Our Strategy

We recognize that racial disparities in homeownership, education, employment, health, and wealth exist and persist in Eagan. That's why we emphasize race equity as a way of ensuring that prejudice does not prevent anyone from thriving in this community.

Community Conversations

We can all help ensure Eagan is an inclusive community where everyone thrives.

About Eagan

Eagan is the 11th largest city in Minnesota with just over 69,000 people. Nearly one in three people who call Eagan home are people of color. Almost half of the children here are Black, Indigenous, Latino, or Asian.

Workforce Equity

City of Eagan employees are part of the community, and they serve the community. That's why equity and inclusion in public service matter so much.

The Race Equity & Inclusion Committee is a team of volunteer employees from all departments who meet monthly to prepare peer learning plans, drive workplace inclusion initiatives, and advise city leaders on matters related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Nondiscrimination Policy: The City of Eagan is committed to the policy that all persons have equal access to its programs, services, activities, facilities, and employment without regard to race, sex, creed, religion, national origin, age, marital status, disability, political affiliation, sexual orientation, or status with regard to public assistance.
