Party Noise
Between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., noise that is plainly heard and disturbing the peace at a distance of 50 feet from the source may be reported to the Police Department.
Electronic Sound System Noise
Regardless of the time of day, noise that is plainly heard and disturbing the peace at a distance of 50 feet may be reported to the Police Department.
Equipment & Construction Noise
Between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., noise from the following activities that is plainly heard and disturbing the peace may be reported to the Police Department:
- Heavy construction equipment
- Delivery of supplies
- Construction activity
- Power tools for construction
- Power lawn or landscape maintenance equipment
- Repair and servicing of vehicles
Exemptions
The following are NOT considered a violation of City Code:
- Land uses regulated by a Conditional Use Permit (such as fuel facilities, fast food establishments, day care)
- Public construction/ maintenance by government or their subcontractors
- Snow removal activities
- Emergency public repair/construction
- Parking lot maintenance or sweeping
