Help Shape Eagan's Future: City Launches Community Engagement for the 2050 Comprehensive Plan
Eagan, MN — The City of Eagan is inviting residents, businesses, and community stakeholders to help answer that question as work begins on the City's 2050 Comprehensive Plan. This long-range planning effort will guide decisions about land use, housing, transportation, environmental stewardship, and public investments over the next 25 years.
The Comprehensive Plan serves as Eagan's blueprint for the future. While the plan looks decades ahead, it focuses on issues that affect everyday life today — from neighborhood character and housing options to transportation, parks, and community amenities.
"We want to hear from the people who know Eagan best — our residents, business owners, and community members," said Jill Hutmacher, community development director. "Community input will help shape the priorities, policies, and investments that guide Eagan's future."
Why Participate?
As part of the planning process, the City is gathering input on community values, priorities, and ideas for the future. Residents will also have opportunities to provide feedback on several Special Concept Areas that may experience change or redevelopment over the coming decades.
Take the Survey
Residents can share their thoughts through the online Comprehensive Plan survey at cityofeagan.com/2050-comp-plan.
The survey takes only a few minutes to complete and is one of several ways community members can participate.
