The Eagan Art House invites you to make or submit artwork for our spring exhibition Framework. We are surrounded by structures—physical, natural, social, institutional. They are the arrangement of parts that give shape to a complex whole. What structures help define your artwork, or do you work against them?
- Are structures a subject matter, a source of inspiration, or a guiding element in the construction of your work?
- Do you tackle the human-made—architecture, grids, engineering-- or organic structures—rock formations, patterns in nature, mountain ranges? Linear or nonlinear? Societal structures?
- Or, is the absence of structure significant in your work? Does chaos prevail?
- Is structure reflected in your materiality? Is it part of your process? Is it hidden or overt?
