Entries for the 9th annual Eagan Film Festival are no longer being accepted. The festival is hosted at Emagine Theater in Eagan and is a celebration of up-and-coming and seasoned filmmakers, both professional and student, and their works.

Rules & Terms

• All films must have been completed after Jan. 1, 2024; any film completed before Jan. 1, 2024, is not eligible.
• All films must be submitted via FilmFreeway or Vimeo links; YouTube links will result in disqualification.
• Films or filmmakers must have a demonstrable connection to their submitted categories.
• Selected filmmakers will have 30 days to provide a Digital Cinema Project (DCP) file that includes closed captions.
• Filmmakers must be 16 years of age or older.
• Filmmakers may apply as a team of directors, but must have a primary applicant.
• Failure to abide by the rules will result in disqualification without a refund.
• Filmmakers must reside in or have a strong connection to the United States of America.
• Short films must be moving pictures 40 minutes in length or less, in total.
• Feature films must be moving pictures 40 minutes in length or more, in total.
• Multiple entries per filmmaker are allowed with a separate application for each film.

Submission Instructions

1. Submissions must be provided through a downloadable web link, either FilmFreeway or Vimeo. No YouTube links
2. Film files should be submitted at the highest quality resolution
3. Sharing permissions for any downloadable files and links must be available through Sept. 30, 2026
4. Downloadable links must be accompanied by access credentials, if necessary
5. Only one version of your film may be submitted and will be considered
6. If your film is selected, please submit digital promo material for us to use to promote your film as part of the festival lineup
