General Information

Bring your group to the Eagan Art House for a one-of-a-kind creative experience! Perfect for adult birthday celebrations, work teams, bridal showers, family gatherings, or a group of friends looking for a unique experience together!

Group gatherings are two hours in length. Reservations include two hours of instruction and art-making time with one of our talented teaching artists.

Reservations must be made a minimum of three weeks in advance. All cancellations must be submitted a minimum of two weeks before the reserved date.

The standard group size is between 6-15 participants. All participants must be aged six and up. Have a larger group? Submit an inquiry below for more information!

Workshop Options

Painting

• Experiment with and explore watercolor, gouache, or acrylic paint! Learn the basics, including color mixing, design, and paint application. No prior experience required! Take home completed work ready for display.

Eco Art

• Learn how to find inspiration from the natural world. Gather materials from the area surrounding the Art House (weather permitting) and explore ways these materials can be used, such as to create collagraph prints, found object mobiles, sun prints, or natural dyes. Take home completed work ready for display.
• Projects will be tailored to accommodate the weather. Available Apr.–Nov. only.

Printmaking

• Experience the joy in creating unique originals over and over with the art of printmaking. Discover new skills and techniques. Build your knowledge and explore printmaking processes such as stamping, linocuts, gel printing, and more. Take-home finished prints ready to display or give away.

Mystery Art

• You bring the people, we choose the art! Spend time exploring materials, trying new things, and connecting with your group. A new art experience each time- it’s a mystery until you arrive! You’ll go home with a finished project. Great for a night out with friends!

Handbuilding with Clay: Mugs

• Make a mug perfect as a gift or for yourself using clay slabs. No experience required. All supplies and firing included. Your final piece will be ready for pickup about three weeks after the event.

Raku Pottery

• Learn about Raku, an ancient form of Japanese pottery, by firing your own pot. This workshop will include pottery selection, glazing, watching, and learning about the raku firing process. Finished projects will be ready for pickup about three weeks after the event.

Pottery Wheel

• Have you ever wanted to throw pottery on the wheel? Discover this popular art form with the help of an instructor who will guide you through the steps to make a simple form on the wheel. Great for a night out with friends! No experience required. All supplies and firing included. Finished projects will be ready for pickup about three weeks after the event.
• Ages 11+ required. Maximum 12 participants.

Fused Glass Suncatchers

• Make your own suncatcher perfect for hanging in any window. Use colorful glass and learn to cut and arrange pieces into your own nature-inspired design. All supplies and firing included. Your completed suncatcher will be ready for pickup about three weeks after the event.
