Eagan Parks & Recreation Fall Activity Registration Opens Aug. 6
Eagan, MN — The City of Eagan’s Parks & Recreation programs, services, and facilities offer a great variety of ways to play, connect, and grow. New classes, activities, and events for fall are a fantastic way to try something new. Registration for September, October, and November begins Thursday, Aug. 6.
Favorite community fall activities include the Harvest Festival at Holz Farm, the Halloween Trail Walk at Viking Lakes, and Eagan Art Block. Plus, don’t miss MEA camps, like art camp or basketball clinics. There are classes for everyone, school year preschool programs to teen activities to senior classes in everything from art to fitness — plus offerings for every age in between.
Year-Round Opportunities in Eagan
The Eagan Fitness Center is a hub for recreation and social connections. Stay active this fall in our newly remodeled ECC Fitness Center by signing up for a membership as low as $40/month. Membership offers unlimited access to weekly open pickleball, basketball, and volleyball times as part of membership package. Members can also enjoy the indoor walking track year-round and discounts on private gymnasium rentals.
Eagan Art House provides a variety of new classes for all ages throughout the fall. Check out new pottery classes for all ages, discover painting, drawing, or abstract art classes and so much more this fall. From weekly classes to one-time workshops there are great options to explore creatively with the experienced staff at the Eagan Art House. Save the date for the Winter Art Sale from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Eagan Community Center.
Eagan 50+ Seniors are busy this fall with activities, trips, and social groups. Join a book club, become a 50+ senior member, take a trip or enjoy a health and wellness class taught by our fantastic team of instructors. Save the date for the Senior Expo on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at the Eagan Community Center from 2–5 p.m.
Teen Programs — Choose from several activities to involve your teen in the Eagan community. Volunteer with the Teen Planning Committee to help plan events such as Study and Social or attend the event as a participant. Preschool Programs — Eagan Parks & Recreation Department welcomes you and your preschooler to a quality preschool program. Our preschool programs focus on the social development of children ages 1–5 years old. We offer a variety of schedules from one day a week to four days a week. Eagan Art Block: Saturday, Sept. 12–Saturday, Sept. 26
Eagan Art Block is a community-hosted, family-friendly event bursting with interactive activities. This year’s event will be packed full with a dozen different events throughout the heart of Eagan. Harvest Festival at Historic Holz Farm
Saturday, Sept. 19
Visit Historic Holz Farm and enjoy hayrides, kitchen demos, live music, animals, and so much more. The Friends of the Farm and the City of Eagan invite you to join them from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to learn about farming in the 1940s and explore this hidden gem in Eagan! Tickets are $3 and required for all individuals 12 months and older. Tickets will be sold onsite or ahead of time at discovereagan.com.
Eagan Market Fest
Eagan’s fall market will move to Goat Hill Park (4391 Lexington Ave S) from Sept. 2–Oct. 7 from 4–7 p.m. Vendors return indoors for select weeks in November through April from 4–7 p.m. at the Eagan Community Center. Living Your Best Life Senior Expo

Community Story Trail
Friday, Oct. 9
Eagan Parks & Recreation brings to you a story trail in collaboration with the Dakota County Library from 4:30–6 p.m. at Thomas Lake Park. Enjoy the beautiful fall weather and read a storyboard book as you stroll along Thomas Lake Park. Then, gather around the bonfire to make a delicious s'more. Other activities will include a craft and musical movement. In the case of rain, the event will be canceled.
Halloween Trail Walk
Saturday, Oct. 24
Dress in your Halloween best and explore “Legends Crossings” at Viking Lakes from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Attendees will visit trick or treat stations, enjoy music, and play Halloween-themed games throughout the plaza. This is an outdoor event and will take place rain or shine! Cost is $6/child, free for adults with food donation to The Open Door. Preregistration required at discovereagan.com.
